What is the difference between web design and web development?
Web design decides how a site looks, reads and guides people. Web development is the code that makes it work: the pages, forms, features and everything behind them. We do both, so the design you approve is the site you get.
Why choose a hand-coded website over a page builder?
Hand-coded sites carry only the code they need, so they load faster, have fewer security updates and break less often. Page builders are convenient for editing but add a lot of weight. If you need to edit content often, we can build on WordPress in a lean, tidy way instead.
Can you add a calculator, quiz or booking form to my site?
Yes. Custom tools are one of the most useful things a website can offer because they answer a visitor's question on the spot. We scope what the tool needs to do, build it to match your site and make sure the results reach you as a proper enquiry.
Will my website be fast on mobile?
That is the aim of every build. We optimise images, keep scripts light, self-host fonts and test on real phones, not just a desktop browser. We also check Core Web Vitals in Lighthouse before launch.
Can another developer work on the site later?
Yes. We write clean, commented, standards-based code with no proprietary lock-in. You own the site, and any competent developer can pick it up if you ever need them to.
